NOVO were appointed to provide the detailed design of Mechanical and Electrical services within the new purpose-built Gables Surgery in Pudsey, Leeds.
Their existing building was no longer ‘fit for purpose’ so a development site was identified across the road by Aspect 4.

The plans, designed by Leeds-based QAD Architects, include three zones and a pharmacy with its own access.
The new development provides a 502 square metre single storey building with flexible, modern facilities that replaces the current, outdated medical practise.

To reduce energy consumption, while working to the budget to maximise patient facilities, the new centre has been designed to be predominantly naturally ventilated, except in clinical areas, with LED lighting to reduce energy consumption of the facility.

Construction of the new surgery concluded in November 2015. The practise now provides services to over 4700 registered patients in the area.
