BIM @ NOVO

Updated: Feb 1, 2019

Within today’s ever evolving construction industry,Building Information Modelling (BIM) is increasingly being used as a tool for collaboration within building projects, by providing a digital representation of a building which is accessible by various parties of the project team.

At NOVO, we provide BIM services primarily using a programme called Autodesk Revit.  Autodesk Revit is modelling software designed for use by architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, designers and contractors. It allows users to design a building and structure its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model’s database.

To maintain NOVO Integration at the forefront of building design projects, we are embracing BIM throughout our business, not just as a design and collaboration tool, but as a new way of working to improve efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

By using Autodesk Revit, we can create pre-construction designs for a variety of projects using the same family of software. This level of interoperability provides obvious time and cost benefits, which in turn will also allow the entire project team to view the impact of their individual designs on those of others to resolve the conflicts based on this information.

The use of clash analysis software is conducted throughout the entirety of a project to eliminate any spatial issues or clashes with regards to installation, access and maintenance space.
