NOVO Integration Ltd is proud to sponsor a promising young golfer called George Muscroft.
Recently, George has played in a couple of national tournaments, including the South of England Links Championship and the Brabazon Qualifier.
Tournament Progress
South of England Links Championship
The competition was held over two golf courses, Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club & Royal St. Georges Golf Club. Both these courses are in Kent. The first two days that George was here was spent doing practice rounds. The weather was fantastic, meaning the greens were dry and very fast. These are conditions that George found very favourable.
The first day of the competition was played at the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club. The weather remained great throughout his round. George finished on 2 over par, with a round of 73
The second day was played at Royal St. George. In the morning the weather conditions were ideal, however, as the day progressed the wind picked up. Unfortunately, George had an afternoon tee off. By the time he started his round the wind was strong enough to be able to move the balls on the greens. George finished with a round of 78, which was 8 over par, meaning he missed the cut by 3 shots.
Brabazon Qualifier
The Brabazon Qualifier is an 18 hole competition held at the Sandiway Golf Club in Cheshire. The only way to describe the weather conditions was atrocious. The course was waterlogged in places meaning there were puddles on the greens. As there were no keepers around the conditions seemed to deteriorate throughout the round. At one point George’s ball landed in a puddle on the green. He had to wait for an official to turn up to advise him how to proceed. In the end, he had to chip out of the puddle. George finished with a round of 74, 4 over par.
George’s next tournaments are The Leeds Open Championship at Sandmoor Golf Club & Hawksworth Trophy at Bradford Golf Club.
We will, of course, keep you updated.
