Over the last couple of months, NOVO-supported racing driver Moh
Ritson and his team Paddock Motorsport have been racking up an
impressive tally of podiums and wins. In just 6 races they have
claimed 4 podiums and a win, alongside fastest laps, pole positions
and more.
At Snetterton, Moh achieved a P2 finish & fastest lap in his sprint
race despite the odds being against him. Moh and his teammate Tom went
on to achieve the team's maiden win in the endurance race later that
day after a hard fought battle against ex-F1 and current professional
racing drivers.
Feeling ecstatic and ready to build on this success, the team set full
focus on the next round at Oulton Park, the toughest circuit in the
country. To add to this, heavy rain was due.
After a tough day of testing before the race, the heavens opened and
Oulton Park suddenly turned in to more of a pool party than a race
weekend. Just to add to the tally of 'trial by fire' situations this
season, Moh would be taking on the mammoth challenge of qualifying in
the rain. This was his first time driving this car and Oulton Park in
the wet and his first time driving in the wet since 2018. Despite the
odds being against Moh, he managed to qualify on pole position by 0.3
seconds.
This set Moh and his teammate Tom in a good place for the races later
that day. In race 1, a strategic decision by the team meant that Tom
and Moh could hold in with the chance of a podium despite a 15 second
success penalty. This allowed the duo to cross the line P2 with the
fastest lap of the race.
Starting P1 in class & P4 overall for race 2, a 30 minute battle with
another McLaren held Moh back from pulling a gap to the cars behind
him. Despite handing over the car in P1 in class, a 15 second penalty
would drop the duo in to P4 which would be the position they crossed
the line in. A post-race investigation lead to the car ahead being
disqualified, resulting in Moh and Tom being promoted to P3.
This is a great set of results for them to keep building on for the
rest of the season and we are sure that the partnership of Moh and
NOVO Integration will lead to more success.
