The new four-storey medical centre compromises of circa 15,000 sq ft of healthcare space, with a sophisticated new GP surgery taking the majority of this area. The ground floor will be partially occupied by a new Medichem Pharmacy, and the first floor floor has been allocated to support other medical service providers who will carry out outpatient work and minor procedures within a comfortable community setting.
The scheme involved the conversion of the existing imposing building, formerly used as office space, and the construction of a contemporary extension to the rear.
Mayfair Group Investment (MGI) appointed NOVO to perform the detailed design of the mechanical and electrical systems within the building to RIBA Stage 4, including Part L2A Building Regulation calculations and thermal modelling. Edward Architecture carried out the architectural duties. Huge success for all members of the project team!
